Smart Growth
Sprawl and the arbitrary
land development
have not yet ruined this corner of the world as it has so many
others. CDA encourages the Ohio 'Smart Growth' plan supported
by the Govenor. It incorporates the idea of sustainable growth
and Traditional Neighborhood Design principles building around
the idea
that neighborhoods should be compact, pedestrian-friendly, and
mixed use.
"This method of building attempts to challenge how development
occurs on greenfield sites as well as
(in town) infill as a strategy for smart growth to combat the
effects of urban sprawl on our (towns & villages) to create
livable communities" MORPC - (Mid Ohio Regional Planning
Commission)

Economic
Development
Economic development usually means developing new & supporting
exisiting businesses.
However there are lots of gray areas too. For instance the idea
of town revitalization
while it's community and architectural in nature, the end result
if successful, is economic
improvement (translation: more money coming into local business
cash registers)
So this is a wide range of resources to help bring about economic
success.
